Fanny Packs!

You know which promotional bag gets no love? The fanny pack. Back in the day, these things were the hottest item around– kind of like the non-woven grocery tote of their time, but less spacious. They’re great for travel, so maybe it’s time to consider giving the ol’ fanny pack another chance.

Lunch Bags

Many people think that lunch bags are only for children in elementary school, but with the current eco-friendly craze I think these reusable bags will be making quite a comeback. They’re especially good for summer and winter, because their insulation can keep your food cool or warm– whatever floats your boat. Just try to get a paper bag to do that!

Insulated Grocery Totes

Grocery totes are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to plastic bags, and they are coming out with newer and better ways to entice people to switch over. For example, you can now get insulated grocery totes which, as the name suggests, are insulated to keep frozen and refrigerated items cool as you shop and transport your groceries home. Unlike regular grocery totes, they typically have velcro or a zipper at the top to seal it shut and really lock in the cold. This is something plastic bags can’t offer, making excuses not to go green harder and harder to come by.

Fold-Up Totes

Promotional bags are making it easier and easier to get on board the eco-friendly trend. One type of bag that I like a lot, but rarely talk about, is the fold-up tote. These bags can fold up really small and usually have a snap closure to keep it intact– so you can just throw one of them in your purse. They’re perfect to have around in case you go on an impromptu shopping spree, or forget that you have to stop at the grocery store on your way home. By carrying one of these bad boys around, you’ll never have to use a plastic bag again!

Feather Weight Grocery Bags

Here’s another option of non-woven grocery totes– it’s called a feather weight bag, and it’s super cheap. It looks really similar to your standard plastic bag, but it’s eco-friendly and can hold up to ten pounds of groceries. This is a great option for grocery stores to give away as a promotion to entice consumers to switch to reusable bags.
